PM Recalls the Value of Peace to Cambodia's Current Progress

Phnom Penh: The Prime Minister of Cambodia and the President of the Cambodian People's Party, Hun Sen, said that peace has created golden opportunities for the social, economic and peace development of the Cambodian people for 44 years, which must be maintained from now on.

Speaking at the commemoration ceremony for the 44th anniversary of the January 7, 2023 Victory Day, PM Hun Sen said that 44 years have passed since peace has contributed to Cambodia's development and progress. Despite Cambodia facing the Covid-19 crisis and the effects of the complex crisis of the international situation, peace has been maintained, which is the basis of people's harmony.

He said: "The slogan" Thank you for peace, thank you for win, win, policy "all over the country and become the spirit of a strong, vibrant society in the process of building and defending the motherland. If we do not keep the peace, we will not be able to achieve everything today."

Maintaining this peace has allowed Cambodia to maintain economic balance, reduce poverty, and the state has been able to increase the salaries of civil servants, while factories have been able to increase the salaries of their workers and Cambodia on the international stage is becoming more recognized.
